Huawei responses to Google with its new operating system!

It looks like the Chineses really were preparing for the moment when they would be deprived of the ability to use the Android operating system, which can be interpreted in many different ways.

We would like to remind you in brief that Huawei's problems started well at the end of last year with the arrest of the financial director and daughter of the founder of the company, Meng Wanzhou. Then, allegations of espionage arose and the US brought out really heavy acts, presenting Huawei 10 allegations of theft of commercial secrets and 13 related to the breaking of sanctions. A few days ago, it was time for the next step, that is, the actual cut-off of the Chinese company from its American trading partners.

As a result of entering the company into the American black list, cooperation with Huawei had to end many companies, including Intel, Qualcomm and Broadcom, the three largest manufacturers of integrated circuits, as well as Microsoft and probably the most painful for the Chinese, Google. It is in connection with the latter that most fears appeared, because although the license for Android itself is available in the form of open source, it is difficult to imagine the operation of this system without such key elements as Gmail (and the game also includes security updates for users of Huawei smartphones).

It is true that yesterday we learned that the US Department of Commerce has decided to delay some of the consequences of the issued regulation, giving Huawei 90 days of transition (when the group will be able to acquire US goods to preserve existing networks and provide software updates for existing smartphones), but the Chinese they still can not buy any components to create new devices, and apparently they are looking for a different way out of this situation.

It may be its own operating system, which Huawei's boss, Richard Yu, mentioned some time ago, but he expressed the hope that he will never have to use it, because "we fully support our partners and their operating systems - we love them, and our clients love to use them. Android and Windows will always be the first choice systems for us. " It seems, however, that the situation will force him to take this step and in the private conversations of the company's boss at WeChat even the date of the debut of his own operating system appears, namely the fall of this year.

Of course, Huawei did not provide such information officially, but in the face of a trade war with the United States, it may be necessary to quickly implement a new solution. The fall date is credible because the transition period ends on August 19, so the OS debut in September would be a natural route if the US dispute could not be resolved. Unfortunately, Huawei still has to face a big downfall, because even if OS is based on the Android Open Source Project, users may not accept the lack of previously known applications and functions.

We will all see together what will be next.
