The European Commission gives the green light to install small 5G antennas without permits
Category : Technology
5G technology is to significantly accelerate the development of countries, and at the same time ensure the security of society and its better quality of life. This is what the European Commission says, which has just made an important step towards realizing this vision.
Opponents of the 5G network development will be unhappy. The EC has just announced the adoption of an implementing regulation regarding the strategic element of the fifth generation network infrastructure development. It is about facilitating the universal installation of 5G antennas in urban clusters.
The regulation will allow the installation of small antennas without permits. Of course, these must be installations that meet certain radiation emission standards, but their installation location will not require additional permits. However, all installations are to be closely monitored by national authorities.
The European Commission wants the Community countries without unnecessary bureaucracy to be able to expand their 5G network infrastructure as soon as possible. In the future smaller installations will take their place, which will be able to be installed in the most sensitive areas where the network load is the highest.
Although opponents of the 5G network believe that the radiation generated by the antennas leads to serious diseases in humans, the EC points out that it is thanks to the network of the future that XXI century medicine will be able to develop. It's about telemedicine services, i.e. real-time monitoring of the human body by doctors. Thanks to artificial intelligence algorithms and physicians, you will be able to detect in advance a developing cancer or impending infarction and take action to save lives earlier.
However, 5G ground installations will not be the future. These over the next decade will be gradually replaced by cosmic microsatellite constellations. The first of them is being built by SpaceX, and many other companies are waiting in line. Space internet will ultimately be much faster with a 5G network and will cover not only the entire Earth, but also the Moon, Mars and asteroids.
