Samsung has delayed the sale of its first folding smartphone for a long time, due to problems with the screen and the folding system. Fold finally went on sale, and now work on the successor has begun.

As you probably guessed, it will be called Fold 2 and it will be a well-designed device. So we can expect that the engineers will eliminate all the ills of childhood of the first device. Officially, Samsung has not yet announced the release date of Fold 2, but we can expect it to happen in spring 2020.

However, we learned some interesting information about the Fold 2. Well, the device will be equipped with a new version of the display, namely with flexible glass, which is called Ultra Thin Glass (UTG). The Super AMOLED display itself will be slightly larger than its predecessor, and will be 8 inches. As for his heart, we can count on Exynos 9830 or 990 or Snapdragon 865.

The whole will crown the new software, and it will be the new Android 10 with Samsung One UI 2.0. As for the colors of the device, white, black and purple versions will appear. The most interesting information, however, is its suggested price, which is to be up to 50 percent lower than in the case of its predecessor.

We don’t know yet if it was a good idea to create such a device that appears as phone and tablet in our hands. Time will show it obviously. However, Samsung had to take this risk to show the world that they could do it.
