It looks like the company has very ambitious plans for space tourism. The wealth of travelers is increasing the interest in space travel every year. This news is very happy because more competition should positively influence the price reduction of such travels. For now, it will be Earth's orbit in the form of the International Space Station, and later private hotels, bases on the Moon and Mars.

Axiom Space announced that the first mission will take place in the middle of next year. A professional NASA astronaut with three private tourists is to go to the space home. They will travel in the new, manned Dragon Capsule from SpaceX, which will be at the top of the Falcon-9 rocket. The company Elona Muska is to conduct its first flight with NASA astronauts on board before this year's vacation.

The company did not disclose millionaires' personal details and ticket prices, but they are to remain in space for 10 days (2 days travel and 8 days stay on the ISS). After this flight, Axiom Space plans to carry out at least two or three such trips a year until the construction of the first space hotel. NASA has recently announced that it has chosen this company to build the first commercial module in which space tourists with a wealthy wallet will be able to live. For the US agency and government itself, this is a very important issue, as the cost of maintaining a space home increases every year and its value for state institutions is low. It is completely different from the point of view of private companies that carry out experiments important for their development there.

Module 1 will be connected to the Node 2 port on the ISS. Dragon capsules from SpaceX and Orion from Boeing will be able to moor directly to it. Axiom ensures that the module will have all the necessary life support systems, bedrooms, toilets, kitchen and space for experiments, enabling the normal existence of up to seven astronauts. They will also be able to count on a little luxury. However, the most important aspect of life in orbit will be admiring our planet from the perspective of space. For such views it will be worth paying 45,000 dollars for the day of stay.

Let us remind you that the completion of work on the ISS is to take place between 2024 and 2028. When the International Space Station ceases to operate, Module 1 will be disconnected from it and will become the first private and fully independent space station. This element of the new home for astronauts is expected to be launched in early 2021. The module itself has dimensions of 9 by 5 meters, so it will be one of the largest loads ever carried into space. The module will be expanded with new elements until a new, large space station is created.
